After being on hold for quite some time, I'm really happy to announce that my medieval project Carolina Moon is entering a new phase of life.
From January, I resumed my Doctoral studies and will be travelling to Melbourne mid-month to learn from and play with vihuelist (Prof) John Griffiths, a leading Australian medievalist (lutenist). It's the first time I've engaged with medieval performance style in a medieval context and I'm very excited, and a little nervous, to be working with John on some 13th and 15th century Spanish pieces.
I also think I've had a major breakthrough in overcoming some vocal health issues that have been hanging around for some years, and I still can't quite believe I can put some load on my voice without it getting sick. Amazing! Fingers are still crossed!
I'll be making some posts on FB if you're interested in following my progress.
Wish me luck!
Caro
